Tap Dancing-Dancing to generate Music

Tap is an exciting form of dance where the dancers wear special shoes with metal taps. Tap dancers use their feet like drums to create rhythmic patterns and beats in time. The "tap" term comes from the tapping sound is produced when the little ballerina shoes, sheets of metal to touch a floor or hard surface.
Tappers & Hoofers:


One common style of tap dancing is called "a classic Tap." The classic, "tappers", using their hands and bodies to merge with ballet or jazz movement, touch their own habits. "Hoofers" trying to use every part of his shoes with his feet to make sounds like drums.



The Clogging is similar to tap dancing. Cloggers play with a movement of the body and goes down and tend to make sounds with their heels. Tap dancers are light on their feet, and tend to dance to the music, rather than the rhythms. Often Cloggers dance group, such as Riverdance.

The Most Popular Styles Of Modern Dance In The World



1. Ballet

This form of dance developed sometime in the sixteenth century in Europe has changed drastically since then. Now is an art that requires the grace and practice, and orchestral music and choreography, the music flowing, acrobatic style. There are various kinds Ballet of the present time, all of which are considered as key elements of their ancestor.
2. Salsa

A recent dance form born in the heart of the Caribbean, salsa is an energetic mix of dance forms in Europe and Africa. He combines these two legacies together and create an explosive fusion of gentle movements, is gaining popularity around the world in popular culture with each passing day
3.Popping

Popping is a dance where the dancer is fresh contract the muscles of his legs deliberately creating a tremor in his body - known as pop. This dance form is mainly associated with hip-hop, but slowly evolving into a broader platform. He quickly gained recognition among the masses.




4. Indian dance

To couple all of the Indian dances in one paragraph is a crime, but not to do so will exclude several other types from around the world. There are several Indian dance forms such as the kathak, kathakali, bharatnatyam, odissi, mohiniattam, manipuri, and kuchipudi – all of which are classical dance forms and have very old roots. Every one of these dance forms is an art in itself and requires lifelong practice to achieve excellence – and each one is supremely beautiful.
5. Ballroom dance
This dance too has its roots in the sixteenth century European society and was restricted to the privileged class who used to gather for ‘dances’ on special occasions. These partner dances have several different styles as the Waltz, Troika, etc.
6. Samba
This is a form of Brazilian popular dance that the whole world recognizes the carnival in Rio de Janeiro - where scantily clad samba dancers spin and primal drum beat. This is a dance rooted in African and European dance forms and has spread to much of South America.
7. Tap dance
This is a form of dance which involves the sound of ‘tap’ (created with the use of metal plates fixed on the soles of the shoes) used by the dancers to give rise to a rhythm while dancing. This dance form was predominantly influential in the UK, and later in the African subcontinent.
8. Belly Dance
The traditional Arabic dance Raqs Sharaq, is popularly known as belly dance in the Western world. There are many belly dance schools such as Egyptian, Turkish, and West - each of which is very sensitive, and fluid movements of the hips to the music.
9.Contemporary Dance
Contemporary dance is a kind of dance concert, which employs the philosophy of composition, rather than the choreography, motion guide unaccompanied. It uses dance techniques and methods are available in ballet, modern dance and postmodern dance, and it also draws on other concepts of movement that are outside the 
scope of the art of ballet.

10. Polka


This is a form of Central European dance that originated sometime in the mid-nineteenth century. It has since then evolved into several variants such as the ‘Polish Polka’, and the ‘Slovenian Polka’. This dance has a unique musical associated with it, both in American musical schools and in the classical musical school.

Types Of Ballet Dance


There are 5 types of ballet:
- Vaganova (What most refer to as Russian ballet. Its style is about continual flow of movement rather than isolation of certain body parts.)
Cecchetti (Cecchetti favors clean lines and precise technique, preferring a simpler style of ballet that focuses on the basics rather than all the other attractive ribbons and bells)
Royal Academy of Dancing (This system of learning took the best elements of both the Cecchetti and Vaganova systems and fused them together to create a more rounded dancer who has a solid technique yet can be gentle and express emotions through their dancing)
Balanchine (A modern technique mostly studied in America)
Bournonville (An almost all but forgotten style that refers to a very classic type of ballet which told Danish folklore tales)

Ballet Dance


The ballet is an official form of dance that originated in the course of the Italian Renaissance of the 15th century and was developed in France, England and Russia as a concert dance form. The parties early, before the invention of the proscenium stage and were presented in large rooms with most of the spectators sitting on the levels or galleries on three sides of the dance floor. It has since become a highly technical form of dance with its own vocabulary. It is mainly performed with the accompaniment of classical music and has been influential as a form of dance in the world. Ballet is taught in ballet schools around the world using their own culture and society to inform the art. ballet dancer works (ballets) are choreographed and performed by trained artists, including mime and acting and they are set to music (usually, but sometimes vocal orchestra). This is a clear style of dance that contains the basic techniques of many other dance forms.

This kind of dance is very difficult to manage and requires much practice.
